What Does Rec Tec Stand For?
Rec Tec is an abbreviation for “Recreational Technology”, and this company specializes in manufacturing pellet grills and smokers.
Their pellet grills have many features that conventional wood or propane grills do not have. They have an easy-to-use electronic control panel, and a large-capacity pellet hopper, and are able to cook at very high temperatures.
The rec tec grills are also extremely efficient with pellets which are estimated to be about 10 pounds of pellets that will last 10-12 hours. This efficiency not only saves money on pellets but makes less ash to clean out and less smoke that is released into the environment.
Rec Tec History
In 2008, Rec Tec was founded with the mission to produce high-quality grills and smokers at an affordable price. They hand build each grill in a small town in Piedmont Oklahoma USA that has a population of about 2500 people.
In 2020 Rec Tec changed their name to RecTeq, the company states the “q” on the end of the company’s name was added on to make an emphasis on the quality they provide to their customers.
